The cooking club for youth, organized at the PINK house in Tran, already has a new leader – Mr. Hristo Paskalev. For several months, the group had no leader and the children made their own menu and practiced their cooking skills in the kitchen of the house under the guidance and instructions of social worker Lilly. As a result of the experience gained at the PINK House training and their internships last summer, the teenagers had little difficulty and were able to cope with the tasks. However, the need for a leader was great and urgent, so our team has been looking hard for someone to fill this position. Hristo has completed a cookery course and shows professionalism and responsibility for working with young people. We are extremely grateful for him taking over the team and becoming part of it. Due to the great interest in the cooking club, PINK plans to launch a second cooking group in March, which will include more young people from Tran. Interviews and selection of participants are forthcoming.
Thanks to the Bulfeld EOOD company, the expenses for food, uniforms and the fee of the chef will be covered. In the summer, the foundation will again provide paid internships to young people who successfully complete the club.
